Meet Our Family
Dr Christopher John Hobson
Dr Hobson qualified with a MBChB from Stellenbosch university in 2016. Thereafter he moved to the East Rand where he completed his internship and community service. Dr Hobson has been in private practice since 2020. He is passionate about family medicine and prides himself in giving compassionate and comprehensive care to everyone he treats.
Dr Hobson is a family man at heart, and understands the importance of caring for your family.
Dr Ipeleng Francinah Makhema
Dr Makhema is a general practitioner with a special interest in paediatrics. She obtained her MBChB qualification from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University in Pretoria in 2017. Hereafter she completed her internship in Limpopo and her community service year in the East Rand. Her interest in pediatric care started during this time, after which she went on to obtain a diploma in child health (DCH) in 2022). She was working in the pediatric department until her move to Hobson Family Practice in the March of 2025. She is passionate about her patient's well-being and takes her time when seeing patients, to ensure they are being given the best treatment possible.
Lizinda Schwartz
Lizinda is our bubbly and welcoming receptionist.
Tania Nell
A qualified Social Worker for over 20 years, Tania understands the challenges that many families face. She has a caring heart, an eye for detail and loves to go the extra mile for our patients. Before joining Hobson Family Practice, Tania worked as a receptionist for a cardiologist, at Christian Barnard Memorial Hospital in Cape Town. She is also the beloved grandmother of Jethro, Lucy and Isaac Hobson.
Felicia Tsotetsi
Felicia is our soft-spoken office cleaner who takes great pride in making sure that our practice environment is always clean and inviting.
Before working at Hobson Family Practice, Felicia did some bookkeeping and secretary work at a school transport organization. She enjoys working hard and serving others.
Tanita Hobson
A qualified Theologian, Mrs Hobson is currently a full-time mom.
She spends most of her days at home caring for her and Dr Hobson's three little children; Jethro, Lucy and Isaac.
Whilst not always physically present, she is an integral part of the team, working as the HR manager and assistant to Dr Hobson.
